Pink Shoes and football

My friend Thelma is giving away these very cute pink shoes for 30 days on her blog here. Check it out if you will. I love reading her blog because she is such a thoughtful storyteller. Take Luck all.

Poor Cougars against TCU today. This picture was taken when I was at BYU my Junior year in 1999. 10 years ago eek! This was on the front page of the Deseret News My 15 minutes of fame. I wasn't even sitting up close at the football game. (the article with this picture is highlighting BYU's switch to a more marketable navy blue color for merchandise as seen in my super fan Y shirt.)All around me are people from my student ward. Good times. We got those train whistles to support BYU's "Freight Train" Morris against University of Washington. I grew up a Husky fan cheering for them when they went to the Rose Bowl and Mom even attended UW after My father and her moved to Seattle. My loyalties quivered a bit that day but who can cheer the opponent in the 55 thousand seat Cougar Stadium? My Dad went to University of Utah so I grew up hearing him sing "I am a Utah Man..." fight song but BYU took my heart. So here is my hierarchy of cheering for college football teams. BYU, UW, Utah, Ohio State (Jay loves them!) and anyone else in the Mountain West Conference. We have to stop BCU bowl games. Senator Hatch of Utah is trying to persuade the powers that be with President Obama to have a playoff.
