So I am really really excited for the new season of The Office and in honor of next weeks's opening, I will share with you a project I have been working on. This summer I found out that youtube can teach you how to play things on the piano and I taught myself how to play the theme song from The Office. It is very, very amaturish and I have no idea where to put my fingers and stuff but it is fun to play. I love this old out of tune piano too. I have been pounding on it my whole life. This is where my brother Rick taught me how to play Journey's song "Don't stop believing" and where I played Axle F and Heart and Soul and where Dave and I would makeup stuff. Growing up I loved listening to my brothers play on it randomly throughout the day. To this day when I hear The Man from Snowy River song I think of this old piano and my brothers.

I am totally excited for the new season of the office too- Andy and I sw a commercial for it last night and let out cheers of joy!!!We are way excited!
By far The Office is our favorite show- inevitably I wind up rolling on the floor laughing! Good for you for learning to play the song on the piano!!!!
You rock! I just started watching the office this summer. I went through all 4 season and was crushed when I found out that I had to wait for season 5 :)
That is really cool good for you. Music can have such a great effect on people and memories. I remember every Christmas gathering around the piano while my Grandpa played and we would all sing Christmas carols. I miss those days. Keep trying new songs and remember if you can learn to read the notes you can play any song on the piano. Since we don't have T.V. at all I don't know about the office, but I do know Steve Carell is hillarious in everything else.
Good job! I should learn that song too.
So we finally got rid of TV because we decided it was an expense we could live without. So I guess we will be watching it online! :) I'm excited about the new season too. Jim and Pam BETTER get engaged this time!
Nice job, Suse. You're making me want a piano. :)
I used to be a big Office fan (and I'll still catch everything when it comes out on DVD later), but I don't watch so religiously any more. Ever since Jim and Pam got together, it's kind of become "just another sitcom" for me. Also, since I'm pretty passionate about documentary film, I feel like they break documentary rules all the time and it's hard not to let the purist in me get annoyed.
Enjoy season 4. I'll be catching up on 3 now that it's on DVD! :)
Rock on, Susie!
