We had a fabulous summer. California and Disneyland, I ran a 5K, went to the Shakespeare Festival, pool time and Jetty Island free ferry rides. Then September came and now I am 31.For my birthday I canned little cucumbers to makes pickles for the first time. James and I picked the vegetables from a local farm. I also started tutoring Spanish. Sounds dull but I loved doing it. Jay and James made me a chocolate cake and I went shopping the previous weekend. James started preschool and loves it. Bring on the fall.

Happy Happy Birthday! What a fun summer, and what a fun start to fall! Michael has always wanted to make pickles too. You will have to tell us how it turns out!
