Thanks Annie for the family pictures! We are back from California. Jay joined us halfway through the week after running in the Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay Race. He ran a total of about 20 miles split up into three legs with 11 other cousins and friends and they ran from Logan to Park City. Yay Jay! Then he joined us at Oceanside. We had a fabulous beach time and Disneyland adventure. James is a tall three year old and went on all the rides except the Indiana Jones ride. We worked hard to get to the beach and did the Disney Day of service to get free tickets to Disneyland. We also got to Seaworld because they are having a 5 dollar kid ticket deal so we went there too. I love my family's traditions and the tan I brought back to cloudy cold Washington. We are feel so greatful to have such a fun extended family. I was reading the book Help and found it is a small reading world and that a few of my sister-in-laws were reading it on the beach or had already finished it. I just finished it and it moved me to think our country was so segregated just a few decades ago. Not only does this book talk about racial barriers but also about educational, economical and even how tall one of the ladies was. Even though this book was set in 1960 Mississippi, I found my self thinking about how I treat people today. My book club is tonight and I am excited to talk about it. Jay replaced some pipes and we just turned on the swimming pool. The sun is supposed to make an appearance this week and summer is finally here!
