We love you Grandpa Larson!

This month Jay's grandfather passed away. We traveled to Layton, Ut and celebrated his life. We love our family so much and loved to see our cousins and aunts and uncles. We took time to go to the zoo, and "This is the place monument." James loved riding the ponies. Grandma Larson has the best climbing tree. James said the roots look like dinosaur bones. He is so creative! Thanks Aunt Gloria and Uncle Terry for letting us stay in your lovely condo in Salt Lake! One afternoon while James was napping, I spent time the Church history library. I looked up Elijah Funk Sheets journal on microfilm and read the entry when he found out that the Prophet and his brother were murdered. He was waiting in Pennsylvania for funds to travel across the ocean to serve his mission in England and on July 14th he hear that they were murdered. How hard would that be to continue on your way across the world when the prophet was just killed?! He did it and was faithful and I love getting to know him more. I also toured the Relief Society building and found out that my Grandma Rigby had donated to the fund to build it back in the 50's. They asked all the sisters to donate 5 dollars and her name was on the list. So wonderful finding these stories. oh by the way.... Go Cougars!!!!! What a game!!!!!!

Awesome! What a big boy James is. My kids wouldn't go near a horse. I'm sorry about grandpa Larson though. Hope Jay is ok.
